What is occupational therapy?+
Occupational therapy is a health profession applied to support children's development, help them overcome difficulties in daily life, and enable them to use their potential to the fullest. Occupational therapists support children's development in learning, attention, behaviour, motor skills and independence through play, movement, sensory experiences and daily life activities.
When is occupational therapy needed?+
Occupational therapy support may be beneficial if your child has difficulty with attention and concentration, sensory sensitivities, hyperactivity or hypoactivity, difficulties with motor skills, clumsiness, feeding problems, insufficient play skills, difficulty adapting to daily routines, or developmental challenges affecting school life. Occupational therapy aims to support the child's development in areas of need based on their strengths.
At what age can therapy start?+
We work with children aged 0–12.
How does the first assessment session work?+
The first session lasts approximately 45–60 minutes. The therapist first meets with the family to hear the child's developmental history and concerns, then observes the child in a play environment. At the end, assessment findings are shared and information about the therapy plan is provided.
How long does the therapy process take?+
The duration of therapy varies according to the child's individual goals and rate of development.
What documents should I bring for the first appointment?+
No documents are required; however, previous assessment reports, school/nursery observation notes, doctor referral letters, and any previous therapy records will speed up the process.
What days and hours is the centre open?+
Our centre is closed on Mondays. We are open Tuesday–Sunday 09:00–18:00. You can reach us via WhatsApp or email for appointments.
Is online therapy an option?+
Parent counselling and home programme follow-up can be conducted online. However, assessment sessions and direct therapy applications are conducted face-to-face.
Can multiple types of therapy be received simultaneously?+
Yes. Many children follow occupational therapy and speech-language therapy simultaneously. Our multidisciplinary team manages these processes in a coordinated manner.
